This 2-day program presents a unique instructional method to reinforce learning about critical constitutional policing matters. Rather than the passive learning method associated with a traditional lecture-based training class, this program encourages, in fact requires, each student to be an active participant in the learning process. The instructor will actively guide the discussions through thought-provoking questions and counterarguments. At the end of each discussion session, the instructor will provide the proper doctrinal underpinnings, supported by the relevant caselaw, for the appropriate resolutions to the questions presented in the scenarios. Helping officers avoid the likelihood of evidence suppression and reducing individual and organizational liability exposure.
