Law enforcement organizations operating in today’s ever changing and volatile times are faced with a myriad of challenges. Recruitment and retention problems, generational and staffing issues, budget shortfalls, increased public scrutiny, constantly advancing technology and social media, and unstable internal and external political, legal and legislative climates, are some of those challenges faced on a daily basis. These challenges can not only take a toll on both organizational members, and the leaders tasked with providing direction to those members, but can also create morale, performance, and accountability issues. This course is designed to give law enforcement leaders the tools to be able to successfully navigate the challenging and ever changing climate they operate in, while positively influencing their followers and peers so that the organizational mission is accomplished both efficiently and effectively.
